Our award-winning Competition Program is designed for dancers who want to take their training to the next level. Through technique, choreography, and performance-based classes, team dancers build advanced skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships. With multiple teams and age levels, Dance Works offers a competition track that challenges and inspires every dancer.

Competition Technique

  • Emerald Technique (Ages 7–16) – Focus on strength, turns, and leaps for younger to intermediate team dancers.
  • Ruby Technique (Ages 6–14) – Builds sharpness and control for competition choreography.
  • Diamond Technique (Ages 10–18) – Advanced technique training for older dancers.
  • Sapphire Technique (Ages 9–18) – Focused technical training for intermediate/advanced dancers.
  • Amethyst Technique (Ages 11–16) – Specialized technique classes preparing dancers for advanced choreography.

Competition Choreography

Competition Ballet

Ruby Ballet (Ages 6–11) – Ballet foundation for younger competitors.

Emerald Ballet (Ages 7–13) – Strengthens ballet technique for competitive performance.

Sapphire Ballet (Ages 10–15) – Builds advanced ballet skills to support choreography.

Amethyst Ballet (Ages 10–18) – Advanced ballet for upper-level competitors.

Specialty Training

Flexibility & Conditioning (Levels 1–3, Ages 6+) – Builds strength, stamina, and flexibility for competitive performance.

Leaps & Turns (Ages 5–18) – Specialty classes for mastering advanced skills required in choreography.

Production & Small Groups

Production Number – Full-team choreography combining all levels for a show-stopping group piece.

Small Groups – Selected dancers train in specialty choreography for competitions.
