Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all dance. At Dance Works, we introduce dancers to ballet as early as 18 months and continue through advanced pointe and competition training. With options for every age and level, our ballet program builds strength, grace, discipline, and confidence.

Early Childhood Ballet

  • Teeny Dancers (18-24 months) – Parent-and-me style introduction to creative movement and ballet basic.
  • Preschool Ballet/Tap/Acro Combos (2.5–5 years) – Playful classes combining ballet with tap and beginner acro skills.

Children’s Ballet (Ages 5–13)

  • Ballet & Jazz Combos (5–13 years) – Blended classes for developing rhythm, flexibility, and classical technique.
  • Level A & B Ballet/Jazz – Structured combos for early elementary dancers.
  • Level C Ballet/Jazz – More advanced combos for upper elementary dancers.

Ballet Technique Levels

  • Ballet I / Level A (7–12 years) – Builds foundational technique, posture, and alignment.
  • Ballet II (9+ years) – Expands technical skills and introduces longer combinations.

Pointe & Pre-Pointe

  • Pre-Pointe (9–12 years) – Focus on strength and readiness for pointe work.
  • Pointe (12+) – Classical pointe technique for advanced dancers.

Competition Ballet

  • Ruby Ballet (6–11 years) – Entry-level competition ballet training.
  • Emerald Ballet (7–13 years) – Intermediate competition training.
  • Sapphire Ballet (10–15 years) – Advanced training with choreography focus.
  • Amethyst Ballet (10–18 years) – Upper-level ballet training for advanced competitors.
  • Diamond Ballet (12–18 years) – Elite-level ballet training for competition dancers.
